"How do I get listed?" & other FAQs | E-mail me

How do I get my company's site added to your lists?

You may have your company's site added, for a free listing, as long as it meets the eligibility requirements (see below).  All that's required is to e-mail me with a note, giving me the URL, and preferably suggesting a very short description.  If your company does not meet the eligibility, you can only get listed by purchasing our $100/yr Enhanced listing.  If you're in doubt as to whether you qualify for a free listing, simply e-mail me and ask.

What's the difference between a free listing and an Enhanced listing?

An Enhanced listing is shown in a significantly larger type size, and is bolded, so it stands out from the regular listings.  The cost is $100/yr for an enhanced listing.  Because the enhanced listings fees support this public-service site, we also waive the eligibility requirements (which means that a company that is otherwise ineligible can be listed for a nominal cost).

What, exactly, are the eligibility requirements for a free listing?

(Note:  Eligibility requirements are only for free listings.  Anyone may purchase an enhanced listing.)

Why don't you list retail insurance agents and brokers?

There are roughly 1,000 or 2,000 insurance carriers.  If 100% get web sites, the list is still manageable and useful.  There are over 100,000 agents, counting independent P&C agencies, independent L&H agencies, and single-representation agencies (like State Farm agents).  If as little as 10% get web sites, the list is so big as to be useless.  There are just too many retail agents and brokers to list.  Any agent or broker that wants to stand out from the crowd and be listed can purchase an enhanced listing.

Can I pay for an enhanced listing with a credit card?

Sure, Visa or Master Card.  Just click the 'Buy Now' link, below, and follow the steps.  You'll also end up with a (free) PayPal account, which is particularly useful if you ever want to send money to anyone, such as for a purchase on eBay.
